Product information "Green Queen Sencha"

China. The country of origin of tea. And today still the world's largest producer of tea. This is the home of our "Green Queen Sencha". Buddhist monks were the first to cultivate tea thousands of years ago - and passed on their knowledge to subsequent generations. Therefore, it is not surprising that China has the largest variety of teas in the world. However, the Chinese import very little. They drink most of their tea themselves. Mountainous - that is characteristic of the Chinese tea regions. The tea plants that are processed into our exquisite green tea now grow there on plantations of smaller farms. Harvest is from April to June. This is how long the tea plants are exposed to the blazing sun. This gives the tea its characteristic taste. Almost exclusively, the tea leaves are still picked by hand.
