Best organic tea

We believe that organic tea has only advantages: for the environment, for the climate, for the people in the growing areas, but also for the end consumer. That is why our teas come from sustainably managed plantations. Our goal here is to keep the soil permanently fertile, to conserve raw material reserves, and yet to offer high-quality organic tea.

Product information "Earl of Grey"
Assam, Darjeeling and Ceylon. The combination of black teas from these growing regions - refined with a touch of bergamot oil - is one of the most popular: Earl Grey. Malty Assam and noble Darjeeling. Both originate from India. But they could not be more different. One comes from large, fertile, hot and humid tea gardens near the Brahmaputra River. The second from higher gardens on the southern slopes of the Himalayas. Mountainous, cool and misty. The whole of India covers about 20 percent of the world's tea production. But Indians also love their tea. They drink most of it themselves. Only about 20 percent is exported. The British gave them a taste for tea in the 19th century. They established large tea plantations so that they would no longer be so dependent on China. The tea blend was also named after a Briton. Charles Grey was British prime minister from 1830 to 1834. And the British influence goes even further. Sri Lanka, a small island nation, was also formerly under the British flag. As a colony Ceylon. Tea is still called that. But on coffee, not tea. Sri Lanka relied on this until 1869, when a fungal disease destroyed the plantations. From then on, tea was cultivated. The main tea-growing regions are in the central highlands. There are highgrown, mediumgrown, lowgrown tea. Depending on the altitude. Another variable: the two monsoon seasons. They have different effects on the growing regions. The result is a lot of individual characteristics of the different growing areas, just like good wine. But the three teas in our "Earl of Grey" blend also have something in common: they are all traditionally hand-picked. And they go together perfectly.
